There are a total of six home economics colleges under the Faculty of Home Economics unit affiliated with Dhaka University. One government Home economics college and five private home economics colleges are affiliated with the Dhaka University home economics unit. The students who have passed the SSC/ equivalent examination in 2018-2021 and the HSC/ equivalent examination in 2023 and total (SSC+HSC) GPA minimum of 5.5, can apply to the DU home economics unit. The applicants must have Bangla and English subjects in their HSC/ equivalent level.
