The marine academy written admission test 2023 will be held on 28 August 2023. The online application’s last date was 16 February 2023. The online application fee is BDT 350 TK. Bangladesh Maritime Academy’s written admission test will be held on a scheduled date which will be informed to the candidates via SMS and website. Bangladesh Marine Academy Admission 2022-2023
The govt-owned BMA bears a 5-decades long reputation of producing professionally skilled, environmentally aware, prudent and polite Marine Cadets. It grooms the young Cadets (after schooling for 12 years with HSC [A-Level]) through a regimental and residential education and training program with English as the working language, in accordance with the competence standards (Nautical Science and Marine Engineering) as required by the IMO STCW Convention. Our cadets are intelligent, alert, and lively at all times; ready to receive any responsibility anytime on board. Particularly they are good in Mathematics & English and polite in behavior with strong leadership capabilities.

Eligibility of Application
- Age Maximum 16 to 25 years as on 16/2/2023 for general applicants (Male/Female)
- Age 25 to 35 year as on 16/2/2023 for Diplomatic applicants
- Age 25 to 45 year as on 16/2/2023 for Navy applicants
- Educational qualification of applicants: Passed in science section in SSC or HSC examination minimum GPA of 2.50
- Height: The male is 5 feet 4 inches and the female is 5 feet 2 inches.
- Weight: 42-67 KG for 5’2″
- Eyesight: 6/6 or 6/12
Final Selection Process
The candidates will be selected according to SSC/equivalent result and admission test result. The marine academy admission merit list will be prepare according to 20 times of the SSC/equivalent GPA (highest- 100 marks) and 100 marks of admission test (MCQ) mark. The subject wise question mark distribution- English- 35, Mathmatics- 30 and Bangladesh & general knowledge- 35 marks. The admission test duration is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minute).
Preliminary selected candidates will be called for viva and medical test. The detail admission test data and time will be informed by an SMS to the applicants to their contact number.

Steps in the Final Selection Process:
- Selection of candidates will be evaluated on the basis of GPA of SSC and HSC and marks obtained in admission test.
- 40 percent of the pass marks in the entrance exam.
- Candidates selected in the order of examination result and preference will participate in the preliminary physical examination of the designated institution. Candidates who clear the Preliminary Physical Qualification Test will participate in the Oral Test.
Special instructions:
After the selected candidates are admitted to the public and private marine academies, if the seats are vacant, the admissions will be applied from the waiting list.
Training:
The final selected cadets after two years of training in various public and private marine academies will receive Pre-Sea Nautical Science or Pre-Sea Marine Engineering Certificate awarded by the Academy.
Marine Academy Admission Result 2022-23
Bangladesh marine academy admission results will be prepared on a total of 500 scores. Written test marks 320, viva test mark 80, and SSC & HSC GPA mark 100 will be counted. The Marine academy admission result will be published very soon. candidates who have passed in the written test will be called for the viva test.
